My intention when I started this blog was to write weekly. As you can tell, that didn’t happen. Why? Life gets in the way. Tech issues that frustrated me. Spam messages that these blogs seem to attract (still working on that one).
But I love to write and feel like I have thoughts, messages and humour about life to share. When I teach my Stress Management and Meditation workshops a mantra that I often share is “begin again”. We all lose our focus – whether it’s in a yoga pose, during meditation, while we are at work, learning a new task or just navigating through life. It’s human to lose focus. We have these big, beautiful brains that have a lot of thoughts, ideas and opinions. When we lose our focus, it’s perfectly okay to just “begin again”.
I usually set goals each year and haven’t really determined what mine are this year. After just getting back from Rishikesh and Delhi, India just over a month ago, I’m still sorting out my place in the world I now see through new lenses. What I did learn in India was to be true to myself and to be my authentic self. And that is what I intend to focus on in 2019; if I lose that focus I will just begin again…
To a year of new beginnings, beginning again and again. Wishing you peace, love, kindness and compassion.
