If you are reading a blog on a webpage about yoga and fitness classes, I’m assuming you’ve heard the term “mindfulness”. What does mindfulness really mean? Sometimes we hear these buzzwords but don’t really understand the true meaning or intent behind them; their purpose and how it affects us. Or maybe we are just embarrassed to ask.
Mindfulness, in a nutshell, means to pay attention. To everything you do. For example, start to pay attention to how many things you do each day where you aren’t paying full attention. Driving. Eating. Listening to your kids, co-workers or your boss. Pay attention to how many times you have your phone in your hand when someone is talking to you and then you walk away wondering what they just said.
I promise that if you start to pay attention you will have a more fulfilling life. You will remember things better, with more clarity. You will be happier.
